WELCOME...
to paradise @ Sithela…
”nature’s coastal hideaway”

~unwind and enjoy being close to nature~

A tranquil coastal country retreat on the beautiful KwaZulu Natal South Coast. Conveniently situated in Munster, 600m from the R61 and 800m from a life guarded beach & lagoon.
Sithela, is 8km north of Port Edward and 11km from the Wild Coast, 70km from Bizana & approximately 22km south of Margate. A bird & nature lover’s paradise, Sithela is an ideal getaway for smaller families and groups, and a convenient stopover for the businessman.

This large family estate, established 23 years ago, is nestled high on a hill overlooking the warm Indian Ocean and is partially surrounded by its own private conservation area bordering on Glenmore.
Sithela is a home away from home and one can expect a warm welcome, attention to detail and friendly hospitality. We expect our guests to relax, “kick off their shoes”, and make themselves at home!

“Sithela”…the Zulu word meaning “hideaway”.
Offering 3 star (TGCSA) up-market comfortable ‘home-away-from-home” self catering accommodation, in 3 fully equipped, individually & tastefully decorated units.

Sithela is home to large troops of monkey and a small family of Bushbuck and Grey Duiker. The small Bass Dam attracts an abundance of birdlife, perfect for the avid birding enthusiast, and is also residence to a family of Water Leguaan.

from the pool area at Sithela

Relax and enjoy stunning sea views from the picturesque pool area. Find peace & tranquillity whilst strolling through the gardens or around the dam. Remote access & ample secure parking (ideal for trailers or boats). Children welcome.

Close to a variety of fine restaurants, unique local attractions, magnificent golf courses and the Wild Coast.

Visitors are most welcome at the local Sports Club where facilities for bowls, tennis and squash are offered. See the section on area facilities and attractions for more information.

The Munster/Glenmore area is set in lush, subtropical bush. Bordering the Indian Ocean it is washed by the
warm Mozambican Current. This area of coastline enjoys a warm subtropical climate almost year round. Sea
temperatures average in the low 20’s in summer. In winter the sea temperature can drop to below 19’C, which
in turn usually ensures a good Sardine Run! Mild winters (10–25’C) from June to August. September to April
is our rainy season. February is the hottest month with very little wind. Sithela lies within a malaria free area.

Be our guest...
We look forward to sharing our paradise with you.
